OH HEY! I KNOW YOU!
You didn’t grow up with a groom, a show mom, or a "pre-show checklist" from the internet...
No! You’re learning as you go—like most amateurs—piecing it all together with advice from friends, your own experience and a few I’ll-remember-that-for-next-time moments.
Your show-day “system” involves good vibes, lots of caffeine, and a group chat where you count on your trainer to tell you when you're supposed to get on.
Have we met before?

I SEE YOU AMMY,
You’re juggling it all—clipping, packing, bathing, lunging, memorizing courses, keeping your horse fed and clean(ish), remembering your own lunch (oops), and occasionally Googling things like “should I poultice?” from a port-a-potty at 4pm in August.Â
Look. You’re doing great. But showing doesn’t have to feel like a test you forgot to study for.
THIS IS YOUR MOMENT
It’s not just about making it to the ring on time anymore.
It’s about feeling prepared, calm, and proud of the way you show up—for your horse and for yourself. It’s about finally feeling like you belong there, not like you’re just keeping your head above water.
Because let’s be honest: horse shows are too expensive, too time-consuming, and too important to spend them stressed, scrambling, and second-guessing yourself.
Â
You’ve done enough figuring it out as you go.
It’s time for a new way forward.

Groom School was built for equestrians like you
—ones who love showing, love their horse, and would love a little less chaos and a lot more confidence.
It's your step-by-step guide to mastering the art of grooming with no detail overlooked.
Horse shows are more than just busy—they’re high-pressure.
What works at home won’t always work ringside—especially when your horse’s comfort and performance are on the line.
And that’s why “figuring it out as you go” doesn’t cut it.
Wait… There’s More to Grooming?
Most amateurs don’t know what they don’t know.
And how could you?
If your current show-day routine is brushing off the dust, spritzing some Show Sheen, and hoping your horse stays clean until you get to the ring—you're not alone.
Unless you’ve spent time behind the scenes with a full-time groom or in a show barn, you’ve likely never seen what top-to-tail care actually looks like during a show.
But here’s the truth:
At a horse show, your horse’s workload increases.
Turnout time decreases.
Their stress levels and physical demands? Way up.
As their care-taker, your grooming strategy matters more than ever.
Proper care isn’t just about making them look good (although we love a polished finish). It’s about supporting your horse’s recovery, comfort, and performance throughout the entire show.
It’s about noticing the little things before they become big problems. It’s about showing up as the best possible partner—for both of you.
And no—you don’t need to be a pro groom to do it.
But you do need a system. A plan. And a little know-how that goes beyond extra treats and good intentions.

I'm Ready!Remember the good ol’ days?
Â
đź’«When your black velvet helmet faded to that perfect shade of purple (on purpose).
💫When boot pulls were standard issue—and you needed a friend’s full body strength (and their butt for leverage) to get them off.
đź’«When show jackets were made of wool and we wore them with pride... and maybe a little heat stroke.
đź’«When we jogged lazy, uncooperative ponies for ribbons and used paper bags for poultice.
💫When you had no clue what anything cost—because your parents handled the bill.
💫And post-show care? A standing wrap if you were lucky, but none of this newfangled BEMER, ice boots, or “leg care protocol” business. (Let’s be real: we didn’t know better yet.)
Yeah... things have changed a little.
We’ve grown up. We’ve taken the reins.
And we want to do it right—because we know better now.
Which Groom School Student Are You?
 ✨You’re the budget-savvy amateur
You love showing, but full-service grooming? That’s a luxury you’d rather invest elsewhere (like, say, another entry fee or that new pair of breeches you’ve been eyeing). You’re determined to make the most of your horse show budget—and if that means learning to do it all yourself, you’re ready. You just want to do it well.
✨You’re brand new to the show ring
You’re about to enter your first few shows—or you’ve dipped your toes in and felt completely overwhelmed. You’re Googling things like “how early should I get to the ring” and “what’s a spot bath??” You want to feel capable, calm, and prepared—not like you’re faking it till you make it.
✨You’re the seasoned DIY-er
You already self-groom at shows—but you’re constantly wondering if there’s a better way to manage the chaos. You want to streamline your prep, sharpen your technique, and maybe finally stop hijacking a golf cart back to the barns because you just can't remember your number. You take pride in doing it yourself, and you’re always looking to level up.
✨You’re the MVP show Mom (or Dad)
You didn’t grow up in this world, but your kid is all-in—and now so are you. You’re learning the ropes, rolling wraps, holding ponies, and trying to keep everyone fed and hydrated. You want to support your rider and their horse with more confidence (and maybe a little less “what the heck am I doing?” energy).
✨You’re the coach who does it all
You’re the trainer, the mentor, the driver, the pep talker, the course-walker—and sometimes, the boot polisher and time-keeper. You’re building confident, capable riders, and Groom School is the resource you’ve been craving to help your students show up more prepared, independent, and ready to handle the barn side of showing with pride.
Hi! I'm Sarah,
For me, the horse show isn’t about winning in every class or chasing points and titles. The horse show is an experience. It’s the atmosphere, the memory-making with barn friends and the thrill of competition.
Grooming is a part of that expereince; the early mornings, the bond I have with my horse and that deeply satisfying exhaustion at the end of the day that adds to the magic of showing.
I spent my junior years in the hunter/jumper rings before working as a professional groom, traveling full-time across North America, including winter seasons at WEF in Wellington, Florida. I learned—sometimes the hard way—what works (and what definitely doesn’t) when it comes to juggling the demands of show grooming while competing myself.
I built this course to take all of that knowledge and make it accessible to riders who want to take control of their own show experience—without the stress, the guesswork, or the feeling that you’re just figuring it out as you go.
If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place. Let’s get to work!

You're Just Seconds Away
When you log into Groom School you’ll have access to the entire library of modules and lessons and can begin learning immediately. You can experience the course on any device; a laptop, computer or tablet – as long as you can get online, you have the course.
Oh and BTW, when you enroll, you have lifetime access to the course AND and bonus material that gets added over time.Â
